Pair of Pillows, Circa 1800, Cloth of Silver with a Quatrefoil Design

Pair of pillows, circa 1800 silver metallic fabric from Belgium with a quatrefoil design, which means “four leaves” for the four lobes and represents a four-leaf clover, a floral bouquet within each lobe. Edged with a French 19th century silver metallic eyelash fringe and 18th century silver metal handmade torchon lace. The torchon lace has darkened over time attesting to the silver within. Backed with deep chocolate brown silk velvet.  1800

Condition: The silver threads are tarnishing and some have split as seen in the images all consistent of age.
